So, without realizing it, I have somehow spent a whole bunch
o’ money over the last few months.
To kick
this off, back in January (28th-29th) Priceline had a
massive 40% off all skincare & tanning sale, so I couldn’t resist popping
up on my lunch break to pick up a few necessities as well as a few items that I’ve
wanted to try out for a while.
I also
made a quick stop into Lovisa after seeing a sale sign. I picked up this
selection (and a few more not pictured) of rings & earrings for a total of
$20! There was a whole wall of jewellery and it was pick and mix any 8 for $10.
I've been particularly loving all the midi rings to layer up for a whole hand
of bling.
Priceline
had another one of their goody bag specials, AKA my favourite priceline time of
the year. I am often a real tight-ass with my money, ESPECIALLY when it
comes to beauty products- which is why a whole bag of free things to try out is
heaven! This particular time it was 'haircare' but throughout the year they
usually do 'skincare' and 'makeup' ones as well. If I'm honest, the haircare
stuff is probably a little wasted on me considering I usually opt for the whole
'roll out of bed, brush, leave' hair routine, but it was easy enough to spend
$40 on things that I DO use (bobby pins etc) so I figured I couldn’t lose. Here
are the things I bought to make up the qualifying $40:
Here is
everything that came in the goody bag. It actually came with a decent amount of
worthwhile stuff (as well as the arbitrary crap which I very kindly handed down
to my sisters who were ecstatic about it).
Some of the more worthwhile picks of the bunch |
I have
been wanting a decent 'cap' for ages now so when I saw a big red sale sign in
Bardot, I had to have a look. I have a tiny head so most hats don’t fit me so
when I tried this on and it was perfect (AND with a price tag of only $10) I couldn't
resist.

I don’t
know if the iPad technically counts considering I got it for free as part of a
Uni promotion, but hey, it’s new. Just a 16gb iPad air, perfect for schoolwork.
Love, Tanya // $24.95 // Dymocks |
Last but definitely
not least, the lovely Tanya Burrs semi-autobiography 'Love, Tanya'. As a long
time subscriber of this incredibly successful – and gorgeous! - youtuber, I have been astounded at how far
technology and social media is able to take us these days. This book is
fabulous, and such an easy read. It’s the kind of book I pick up and read a
chapter whenever I am feeling down, or wanting to wind down. I loved reading
the ‘growing up’ chapters and learning more about her life and the person she
is away from the camera, and I also loved the baking chapter. Also, the photos
scattered throughout the book are simply STUNNING. Good on you Tanya!
Ahhh,
writing this makes me think of how much money COULD be in my bank account…Oh
well. Hope you enjoyed having a peak at my latest purchases!
