My Bestfriend's Birthday // Gift Guide

So my best friend Tiarney turned 19 on Friday and I thought it might be nice to share what I bought her to hopefully give a few ideas for anyone in need of a gift for a friend. I'll include prices as well so you can get a feeling of what would suit your budget.

So an overview of what I bought her:
-Cards Against Humanity (card game) // $30.00
-Tangle Teezer Professional Detangling Brush Purple and Pink // $21.00

-Real Techniques Your Base/Flawless Core Collection // $22.60
-Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge // $7.52
-Maybelline Colour Drama Lipstick in 520 "Light it up" // $9.95
So, excluding shipping and the actual box and such, everything cost me around $100.
Okay, now lets get a little more detailed about things...

Cards Against Humanity (card game) // $30.00 - First up, don't buy this if you are offended easily. If you haven't heard about this game before (I'm sure most of you have) you basically have black cards with a fill-in-the-blank type of statement and all players then choose an answer to complete the sentence out of the white cards that they have in their hands (I'm really not the best at explaining things...).

Clip-on Camera Lens // $3.79 - I actually bought one for myself a few months ago and loved it so much that I bought a few extra to add to presents for people. Basically it comes with 3 lens (Fish-eye, Macro, Wide Lens) that screw onto a little clip that can attach to any device. It's awesome and can fit into your pocket so it's great for photos on the go.

Beauty bits and bobs

Real Techniques Your Base/Flawless Core Collection // $22.60 - She's wanted this set for ages so I thought I'd pop it in. It makes a great present for someone who is just starting their makeup collection.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge // $7.52 - This is another great gift for under $10 that is so nice to receive!

Tangle Teezer Professional Detangling Brush Purple and Pink // $21.00 - I haven't ever used this (although I may have purchased one for myself to save as a birthday present from me) but have heard great things, and she was using -and loving- a ripoff one from Kmart, so it was nice to surprise her with the real deal.

Maybelline Colour Drama Lipstick in 520 "Light it up" // $9.95 - A little lipstick is always a good stocking stuffer right? This one is a really nice red, and I quite like the formula of the Maybelline Color Drama range (as nice as you can get for a $10 lipstick, anyway).

To 'wrap' the present,  I just bought a black and white polka dot box and added some pink tissue paper (is it just me, or does tissue paper make a present so much nicer to open!) and tied with a big white bow. She loved all her presents and she seemed to have a really lovely birthday!

A Few of my Favourite Things // Current Favourites

I know we are currently half way through a month, so its not exactly a 'monthly favorites', but I still thought it might be nice to share a few of the things that I have been loving recently.

     Fashion
Anything with rips- I used to be a little partial to the trend but alas, here I am, scissors in hand, ready to convert all my pants.
Anything with stripes- Loving this pattern at the moment and may or may not have stocked my wardrobe with a whooolllllleeee bunch of stripy tops.

     Beauty
Covergirl Outlast Lipstain- The colour (405) is perfect for Autumn and so durable. It is probably worth noting that it is literally the consistency of a texta, which I like because it give you so much more control as opposed to a crayon or pencil consistency. Add a little lip gloss and you are full of colour and ready to go!

      Music
This month I discovered 'Shawn Mendes' (particularly 'Something Big'- so catchy!) and fell in love after listening to all his songs.  I truly cannot believe how talented some people are, and he's only 16 years old!
      Movies & TV
This last month I have actually really been enjoying TV, which is strange, because I usually  stick to YouTube during my down time.
How I Met Your Mother- I borrowed season 2 off a friend, and have been slowly making my way through an episode whenever I have a spare 20 minutes (I feel like 20 minutes is SUCH a convenient time for an episode!). I love HIMYM and have seen all the seasons, but its been ages since I have watched any.
Parks & Recreation- Another super easy watch. I have never watched it before and have somehow found myself mid-season 2 already!
Love, Rosie-  I saw this when it came out at the movies but re-watched it at a movie night last week and remembered how great it is. Also, LOVE the cast. Lilly Collins and Sam Claflin together are wonderful!

     Food
Oranges- With the cold weather coming and sickness coming with it, I've been trying to keep up my immune system with lots of vitamin C. 
Lindt Dark Chocolate- Especially the salted one!  
     Other
Letting go- Getting a little deep here but bear with me. I am someone who is SO afraid of hurting other peoples feelings, and it often means that I keep people in my life who are not good for me. I can very gladly say that I have been learning to let go, with a BIG Facebook cull of people who I don't even really know, or aren't particularly good friends with.
     Internet
I thought it would be cool to share some things that I have been loving on the internet in general, this could be anything from a website, an app, a youtuber, hashtag, whatever! 
Tumblr-  I always forget how much I enjoy this website. I always seem to feel really inspired every time time I logon.

'Design Love Fest' Blog- Seriously, if you are wanting to be inspired by blog photography, or feel like downloading a bunch of new laptop wallpapers then head on over to this blog. I particularly like the 'Downloads' category which has so many gorgeous, free backgrounds. I went through and saved a tonne of ones that I like, and then set my laptop to change them everyday from that folder, it's been so nice waking up everyday to a different, fresh background on my computer.

Meghan Hughes-  What a positive person! I love the way that she shines in every single one of her videos and especially love the weekly vlogs that she has been doing recently. Check her out! 
     Looking forward to
As someone who always seems to be excited for something in the future, I thought it would be nice to include something that I am looking forward to at the moment
Ed Sheeran Concert- I've definitely got a while to wait for this one but Tiarney managed to nab some mosh tickets for us in December! I am so happy that Rudimental and Passenger are opening for him. Ahh, I CAN NOT WAIT! I'm going to be singing my heart out the entire time.
