The Candy Store, Leura
Another weekend, another outing - this time up the Blue Mountains to the gorgeous little town of Leura.

First up was 'The Candy Store', which - of course - is always my favourite part of a trip to Leura. They do just about every type of lolly/chocolate and are usually so packed you can hardly move, but for some reason it was actually pretty quiet on this day. I especially love trying all the international lollies and hard to find classics.

After strolling through the main street, we went to 'Josophan's' chocolate shop. It is all fair-trade (brownie point #1), good quality (brownie point #2) and creatively flavoured (brownie point #3) chocolate. SO good.

Mango Chilli was one of the flavours that we tried and about three seconds after saying to Bryce 'It isn't hot at all!', It hit me and it felt like my mouth was on fire!

The 'Leura Toy Shop' reminds me of Mr Magnoriums Wonder Emporium, so magical!

I love that there is such a contrast of stores. The old styled Post Office is literally two doors down from a 'Witchery'.

Of course we couldn't go past such a beautiful backdrop without taking a few pose-y photos!

Look at how beautifully green the streets are!
After heading out of the main bit of Leura, we followed a few signs and did a mini walk down to a lookout, although because of the weather, it was entirely foggy and we couldn't see a single thing over the valley.

That white wall of fog is SUPPOSED to be the view.

The stairs back up to the carpark
By the end of the day, we were so hungry and couldn't make our minds up about what we wanted so on our way back from the little lookout we stopped off at 'Bakehouse on Wentworth', and then ate back at my house. We both chose a savory pie for lunch and something sweet for dessert. I chose a pumpkin lentil curry pie and it was incredible- so fresh and full of flavour. For dessert I chose a cherry crumble and Bryce, a lemon meringue pie. Both were delicious.
